Our dog and cat are great at fly catching.
In the tent we have always used a tennis racket zapper. I have noticed in Spain they hang up transparent bags of water. Supposedly it confuses the flies and it does seem to work in restaurants etc. However MythBusters do claim to have dispelled this as a technique.

Since I got my small plug in bug zapper, the overnight Mozzie hunt seems to have become a thing of the past, they seem very obliging at committing suicide! The bug count in the morning often shows a Mozzie I wasn't even aware of!

We use the tennis racket type but are generally only decent if the fly has landed (especially in the caravan) although I don't mind admitting that I'm partial to trying to catch them mid flight in the awning, failing that we always have a tin of raid in the caravan, although as stated, best not to spray it and stay in the caravan, especially if there isn't great ventilation

I bought and carry a cordless Ryobi drill with 2 batteries in case I need to use drill in rock pegs.

This evening, I saw someone using a small fan attachment with a Ryobi battery and thought it was a good idea and started to Google for one.

I discovered Ryobi makes a Cordless Bug Zapper attachment, and I WANT ONE!

However, I don't think I could justify having one.

No I couldn't justify near £300 for the complete kit (zapper, battery, charger) either!

My rechargeable bug zappers came from Lidl/Aldi and were about a tenner each! - and they last 8 hours per charge as opposed to Ryobi 7 hours! .... and they came with a 3 year warranty!

It will just be the "naked" attachment without the battery or charger for me, so a lot less than 300 GBP; however, I still can't justify it.

I bought a bug zapper and leave it on. It slowly but surely kills them all. If you get a bug zapper, make sure you get one that has the metal electrified grates directly in front of the lights.

Farm site fields of corn & animals you get flies. So avoid that sort of site for less flies.

You could try a door fly screen to help keep the little buzzers out. Online for about £20, Dan.
