Just come back from a lovely site, very secluded by elephant grass pitches. Unfortunately very small field mice/dormice/voles (not sure which) liked going under the footprint at night. We knew they wouldn't actually come into the tent but they still kept us awake scuttling underneath in the lounge area.
Any ideas as to how to keep them at bay without harm?
We haven't had the trouble before and can only assume it was because of all the bad weather (the daddy long legs liked our tent too )
wash your footprint over with jeyes fluid and pour the remainder on the grass before you put the tent up, this gets rid of their pee scent which is what they follow to get under your tent, and yes i know jeyes stinks of public toilets for a couple of days!
