Aldi are selling an sat nav for £230 on the 9 June, anyone know if it is any good? If it is no good what is a good one? On the same day they are selling camping gear, tents airbeds etc.
On face value it doesnt look to bad,if its for europe then check to make sure its street level detail not major roads. How many do you think your local store will have ???
Ipaq 2210, Tomtom3 (soon to be 5) POI speedcam database, postcode finder and bluetooth GPS. It also doubles as a PDA for work, I can slip it into my shirt pocket and I wouldn't be without it.
The Medion one seems reasonably good value, but it only has a 266mhz processor so if the maps are quite detailed it may not be too smooth when scrolling along. A couple of my work colleagues have various different Sat Nav's and I personally still think TT takes some beating
i have the ipaq 2210 and use tomtom3 , but with an emtac bluetooth gps (i dont like tomtoms gps, emtac rocks). i would recommend going the pda route instead of Go , as theres so much more you can use the PDA for. Keeps my kids occupied for a few hours with games, mp3's etc , also my OH watches corrie and emmerdale on it......oh and 24 . The 2210's a bit old now (i would'nt mind one of the newer VGA pda's) but still think its one of the best pda's for the money. If you do decide on a 2210 make sure you store the map data on a compact flash card , as theres a problem with the SDIO drivers with bluetooth.
