We bought one but as yet not been able to get a picture.  used it last week and hubby fiddled round with it for the whole weekend.  Will try again next week.

There was a previous thread on them last week and lots of people had had the same trouble and had actually took them back.

Have a look at

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/medion-mdpna-150.php

I believe that this is the same that being sold by Aldi. You will not get it at a better price than aldi is asking. Also check out the rest of this site as they do a free speed camera database that can be downloaded to most gps systems.

I have a medion PPC200 running Medion navigator 4.2. I have used tomtom navigator and Faulk navigator software and found medion to be far the best to use (although this is a matter of opinion), the main point being the voice direction. Medion gives ample warning of any turns you have to take and also the road numbers. It also tells you what lane to be in on the motorway, when lanes split and somtimes what lane to be in at traffic lights on large junctions.

Last weekend I had to travell from Lightwater in surrey to Derbyshire. Just befor I left I herad that the M25 was at a standstill. so i set a route to High wycomb avoiding motoways.where I could join the M40 just befor high wycomb.

The Gps took me down some obscure country roads to the M40 with no problem at all.

The main problem I can see with the medion sold by Aldi is the The GPS antenna is attached to the unit. This can cause problems in 'seeing' the satalites especially if you have a quickclear or tinted windscreen. which may be why people have not been able to get a picture.

If I had the cash I would certainly have bought The medion From Aldi. (£50.00p cheaper than most other outlets). Hope this helps you decide Derek

Thanks davwood unfortunately I do have a quickclear windscreen but my Brother bought  the G.P.S. yesterday and he is bringing it round today and this will give me the chance to try it in my car and I will hope for the best.

Cheers
