Hello All,

We are taking the caravan to France this year for the first time, visiting a site called "Les Ecureuils" on the Jard Sur Mer, Vendee, France.

Has anyone out there been there?

Are the hookups reverse polarity and what type of sockets (2 or 3 pin)?

Hi the best idea would be to e-mail or ring them, most sites will have the standard blue euro plug. but they might be of reversed polarity in which case you will need to change your lead or carry a clearly marked short extention lead.Hope this helps....

Hi we used the site about seven years ago, and if memory serves me correctly there were no problems regarding polarity and they were the euro three pin plugs.  However as Grumpy01 pointed out always a good idea to carry a clearly marked "reversed" extension.

Nice site "the Squirrrels" (was then anyway) and the area is great. Have a good time.

Sorry if I sound a bit pedantic but surely you would not go to France without;-

a) Polarity Tester

b) European 2 pin connector

c) A home made polarity swap over cable

If you have all these items you are free to use any site in France which offers electrics!

Preferably a French one (pinhole in the middle). The ones to be used in e.g. Germany and Holland and other European countries differ If you mean the combined one: allowing for earth pin in the middle as well as side earth connections: yes.
