halogen heaters really work...

We have a trailer tent and been away wales  recently lovely weather during the day but bloody cold a night, so out came the halogen one warmed the tent up but ended up buying a second as the tent is massive, with two going the tent was toastie warm

will advise anyone to get one if there tent needs a bit of warmth...

Question how safe are they to leave on over night

Away a few weeks ago and used our heater for first time. First night froze so second night left it on 400w and kept bed curtain open and whole thing nice and comfy in the am.

Was an invaluable piece of kit when we camped in may.

Left it on all night was very conscious of where it was positioned to avoid fire hazard.

Also made it easy to locate the tent during the midnight excursion to the loo 

We put ours away from any bedding wich could fall on to the element.

same here first night froze then decided to leave on lovely and warm. ours has a safty cut off if it falls over but was more concerned with things falling on to it.

do you think putting a carpet down in the base of the trailer would help warm things a bit? lino in it at mo.

We tried halogen in the campervan , the big orange glare kept us awake at night and the heat from it wasn't that great , so we now have a 2kw fan heater and it's different again , the heat is lovely, it just takes a little while to get used to the thermostat kicking in and out through the night as the temperature go's up and down
