 new to camping what do you prefer gas or petrol cooker???????????????????????

hi there,we find gas is better,petrol is too risky

Petrol for us. Easier to transport and unleaded is available everywhere.

Just don't cook inside!

If you want to cook chips, only the petrol stoves will get hot enough to cook them properly.

Petrol is far quicker to boil water, and is cheaper to run. The gas ones are possibly more convenient to run dependant upon the type you buy.

Petrol stoves do run hotter than gas.  I reckon you may find them cheaper than gas as well, not buying the "special colemans", by filling up at the garage.

You will find less mess and hassle with gas.  We looked at this a few years ago when we had a tent.  I ended up with gas due to little kids running round. I felt it was safer as no flammable liquids for them to spill.

I must say derishel we had all your reservations but after checking out the coleman and reading the instructions it is alot safer than you think, it has to be else it wouldnt be allowed on the UK market..
