Hi there, we are once again faced with the "which airbed to buy" dilema! We started out with one cheapie double Tesco one and a Royal double Flock one. We need to replace the cheaper Tesco one as it keeps going down alot in the night. The Royal Double Flocked one lasted really well for the week, still  going strong. But we now need the replace the other Tesco one. We cant decide between the Argos rubberised one, which is now £14.99, or weather to spalsh out on the Coleman Double Chamber, or Campinggaz one. I get the impression that it really is a lottery with airbeds which work and which go down. It is really worth the extra £10 or so for a "Colemen" one, or will the Argos one last ok? (we prefer the look of the Argos rubberised one, to another Flock one, get the impression that the flock ones are not that good?).

Any advice/experience/comments welcome.

We had one of them Flock beds and it was the worst thing we have ever slept on!!!  We have one of the rubberised canvas ones from Argos and sleep like the dead everytime we are away.  Might be the sea air that helps though

We had one of the rubberised ones for years & sleep really well on it.  Recently, I've thought it seems a little bit flat in the morning, although not enough to warrant pumping.  Thinking of buying a new one & can't decide whether to buy the same again or go for one of the Coleman ones.  I'll keep watching this thread & see what other people think.

I have both the flock and the argos airbeds, i wont go near the flock one, the worst nights sleep i never had, but my wife wont sleep on anything else, but i absolutely love the argos bed, off like a light everytime, but the wife hates it, reckon its all down to personal preference, do you know anybody who has the argos one ? and can lend it to you for a weekend.

I'm chuffed to bits with the Argos £14.99 one, sleep great and it stayed fine for the 3 nights we were away each time since I got it.  Nice and comfy.

We recently got the camping gas flock ones and I didnt sleep too well on it although the tent pitch was a bit dodgy so i wont knock it just yet, at least it stays up!

used to have rubber type but they seem to loose air when they get older. If you do decide on the rubber type make sure you get the one without the built in pillow as it we found it too high.

regards simon

We used to have the rubber one which was great except I like to put my arm under my pillow at night and of course you can't do that with the ones with the built in pillow - unless you want a dead arm of coure. We now have the Coleman double chamber one and find that really comfy. It's more expensive but I guess you get what you pay for.
