Hi,

I have sorted my EHU and stove questions with all your help, now for the mattress issue. I am looking to buy 4 self-inflating type mattresses for car camping. I do have to watch my lower back for past spinal injury. Happy to pay for mid-range prices.

Any recommendations!  Would prefer to buy from online site, for logistic reasons.

We have just bought the Hi Gear Elektra single air beds and have tried them out at home.  They seem great.

I got the self-inflating ones from Lidl (£20 for a double) and they're great too.

I've tried the ones from Lidl and just can't get on with them. I had two joined together for extra thickness and could feel the floor through them. I have to watch my back too and thought these would be good, but they're not for me. I'm going to use them under a rubberised airbed and see how I get on with that combination. I found camp beds were great but hurt my back after a while, so I'm trying to get the perfect combination now!
