Hi all....can anyone suggest where I could find/purchase a lightweight but sturdy 2 (or more) ringed electric stove.
I was thinkinging of getting one as a backup for heating up / cooking /keeping hot extra food etc, when doing a large BBq. many thanks in advance ..Pete

got ours off ebay and use it regularly for cooking when we have EHU, saves on gas!
mind you, not sure I would call it particularly light weight - wasn't aware anyone did a lightweight version but would be interested if they do..........?
We use our very old electric frypan for just the purposes you describe. It is very robust and just gets flung in the back of the car with everything else. Great for fry-ups, roast dinners, warming bread rolls, and especially, as you say, keeping food hot when BBQing.
They are not so easy to find these days but Littlewoods do them:

Hi all......many many thanks for the advice and suggested equipment, it is very much appreciated.
All we have to do now is decided between the Prestige Multicooker as suggested by BC and Jenhug and the Electric hob as suggested by Skatty.
The pricepoint of the multicooker certainly makes it an exceptional buy and clearly, the fact that BC has had one and uses it for just the purpose that we want it for AND that it is still going strong after some time, is a very good recommendation. On the other hand, the 2 ring hobb mayl give us more options re frying and warming etc.
Oh dear decisions decision LOL
So willneed to research the two possibilities tonight and make a decision . Once again sincerest thanks for the time taken and the suggestions given. A safe and wonderful holiday to you all.......we're off to France in about 4 weeks too...so cant wait .YIPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
