I've been using the Lyons individual coffee bags, like a tea bag, and it makes one mug at a time.  They're in a green box with 18 individually wrapped bags, £1.98 in Tesco's.  Nothing to break.

I've been using the coffee bags since they were mentioned on here. They are great, I do use instant at home but somehow when camping the coffee tastes very weak so I switched to the coffee bags which did the trick.
