My 'Darling!!!!!' Husband decided to be helpful and put a wash load on for me!

only thing is he included my regatta venture tech trousers!!!! and used fabric conditioner!!!! and i have no re proofer either!

Are they now knad or can they still be saved?

Can't help you with your trousers, but rest assured you aint the only one with a "helpful" husband when it comes to washing.  Richard's idea of a load of washing is to squash as many clothes as he can in the machine - don't bother sorting in any way shape or form what so ever - and stick it on the medium programme at 40. 

He doesnt seem to think some things might need hotter that that - or whats worse pale/delicate clothes don't fare to well for being washed with his dark clothes.  Number of kids vest and my bras that are now a delicate shade of grey thanks to his help.

Suggest that you e-mail Mr Regatta for a bit of advice.

Does it rain where you are then? 

we've seen in shops like regatta reproofer for clothes, is there any in hull you could get some from?

Wey hey! Does this mean that if I use Lux flakes on my Jack in a Bag kagoul, it's going to be able to get rid of the manky mackerel smell then? (or is that asking just to-o-o much?) Had a mishap with one whilst fishing in torrential rain last week and it sort of went everywhere - very whiffy! Was considering getting to it with a nail brush and some fragrant soft soap but not sure if that would ruin it? At least it would smell nicer though, and that's got to be a result! Phew!

Would hate to have to dump it as it's such a good match for my waterproof trousers and would mean that I'd need to wear my almost glow in the dark fluorescent yellow one ALL the time!  Could be handy if I got blown in the sea though.....
