Hey there folks,  i have been reading a lot of posts and learning a lot on your site but this is in the first question I have raised myself. I spent a lot of time camping as a child with my parents and am returning to it again. Trying to get set up with a bit of equipment.

I am thinking of buying a small pan and pot set to use with a small Bleuet Stove. Has anybody any recommendations?

Has anybody used and tested the Tefal Hiker Cookset.

That is a cracking set of pans, same as my brothers. They're non stick which is almost essential when cooking on a small cooker as its easy to burn things which then stick to the pan. A bit pricey but will last for years.

best wishes simon.

Thanks for the swift reply i8mud. I wouldn't mind the few pound if i knew they'd last the job. I'll pass them onto my children in years to come!

Thanks again.

Of the camping sets, the Tefal is by far the best I have come across.

Its not as good as normal pots and pans, but it packs down a whole lot smaller.

I bought 2 extra handles and 'fix' them onto the pots by putting an elastic band around the far end of the handle.

The only other cooking utensil I take is a large wok (£3), great for stir frys and fry ups and a alluminium griddle that goes on top of the my gas stove.
