Do I need to take any special precautions using a domestic fridge due to condensation ?

I wouldn't have thought so.

Just take reasonable precautions (as with any electrical equipment) that it's protected from damp, and make sure you test the RCD on your EHU every time you use it.

We are toying with taking a large Stella Artois fridge but are worried we might blow the campsite fuses..also we intend to keep it in the awning, any advice in the next hour would be appreciated as I will be going to bed and will be off very early tomorrow morning

muddi,

You shouldn't have any problems with the electrics - the frige should only need a couple of amps.

Enjoy your trip

Our beer fridge is only 90W, that's less than 1/2A, we've taken it away with us a fair few times now without any problems.....

Eccept at easter, when we were limited to 4A each, and it was freezing, so everyone had their heaters on, needless to say the site kept tripping out.

Anyway with the site supply at it's limit, everytime our fridge switched on, it would reset the rope lights in the awning so they would start flashing instead of a steady glow.

Solved the problem when i got home, i cut out the control box on the rope lights, and wired them direct to the plug (not recommended unless you know what you are doing, three black wires, two are live, and the other is neutral).
