I use strong clear plastic storage boxes, which clip down on both sides.I store what i need in them, then label top.When summer comes round, the boxes can be put straight in the car,and contents left in there,free from dust &damp, and you know what is in them,i.e, cutlery,crockery etc..it works for us, and saves searching for, and often forgetting the essestials such as tin-openers etc.They will also stack on top of each other until needed.

Hi My wife works in the community and therefore needs to carry a load equipement and stock, she uses a large box with a lid that has wheels on one end so easy to drag. This box is loaded with smaller boxes so she can remove items she needs without a struggle.

This is very useful as she has access to what she needs, but when we need the full boot space the large box can be removed and stored in the house. The box fits easily in the boot of our freelander, and because of the lid we can store things on the top especially shopping etc.

Storage boxes can be had for a few quid from most DIY (Destroy it yourself) stores.

We tend to keep 'our' camping stuff cleaned and ready to go in a couple of these.

Good item her-in-draws brought off QVC (tele shopping channel UGH!) are sort of flight bags that you can pack all your toiletries and odds and sods etc into.

Just one bag off to the shower block then hang it in the tent for evryday use.

Hurts to say it but they are good and do "exactly what it says on the tin"

I'm not that tidy a person but it does help if things can be stored and kept in the same place everytime so all the family know where to collect items (and return 'em)

Aint camping great

When we were setting up for our first camping trip earlier this year I invested in some plastic boxes with lids from Poundstretcher, very reasonably priced and we keep all our crockery, cutlery and pans in them.  Also, they double up for taking your pots to the sink when you get there.

All of our kitchen equipment is kept in a folding crate with fold up legs that we got from Barrons on Coppull. When we set up on site the legs go down and it stands next to our cooker. We use folding crates for most of our storage including clothes.

We have all our camping gear in boxes we have a small box for weekend over night stays for the cooking gear including a compact stove +utensils ,for longer stays we have a bigger box with a bit more equipment and another with a three burner stove and the rest of the gear that is thought of as  essential lol ,the common box has all the bedding in air beds ect ,
