Seen one on Ebay for £17.

If you need it on all night then the 'solar powered' garden nightlights might be your best bet. Just leave them in sunlight during the day and bring them in for the evening.

They seem to be available everywhere at very cheap prices at the moment.

if it is just as nightlight for children then the £1 shop does tubes of those "glow" bracelets with about 15 in. maybe these could be of use.

We've got a rechargeable lantern.  The light is very bright & it only lasts about 5 hours.

Won't the kids go to sleep with the light on & have a small torch with them in case they wake up during the night?

The only other solution I can think of is EHU.

Does it have to be rechargeable?

This one last 72 hours on 2 x AA batteries (CMG Blaze LED Lantern) ...... http://www.gazzaproducts.co.uk/acatalog/LED_Lanterns.html

I bought one a few weeks ago, not tried it out yet but maybe it's worth considering (price includes P&P).

Pete.

We bought a re-chargeable lantern for £29.99 from the grattan catalog.  When we got it, I turned it on to see if there was any 'go' in it.  There was, so we've been using it ever since.  We've used it for light in the garage, used it when the bathroom light went up the creek for a week or so, used it in the MH when the kids were 'camping' out in the awning - and still not had to charge it at all yet ourselves   (knowing my luck, it will conk out this weekend when we go away now I've boasted about it ) .

It has two light tubes so you can have one or two on, and also a red flashing light.  There is a handle and the charger stores in the bottom of the unit and it's waterproof - best thing we've ever bought!

Sara
