Caravan dealers, camping shops, any place that sells the gas should have them. Here, I've found the agricultural & builders merchants are very good for things to do with the gas.

Hello just returned from our trip diddnt have a successful trip on the 3rd and diddnt get to the camping shop on the way down so I still havnt got one. 10 days till we go again and as I love ebay I was wondering a guy on there will do me a new one with a meter of hose for £10.25 delivered ?what would I pay in a camping shop ??? I will take a special trip over If I have to only its not that close.

Mick if you say £4.99 Im guessing that the hose wont be too much. That a trip to the shop will be the best bet. Only problem is im bound to buy more stuff if I go to the shop As I did on the 3rd I bought a new torch in one, a wind break in another and some citronella stuff in the last shop and came back with no regulator and no hose !!!!.

Just thought of another question. Do i need a special spanner to put these regulators on last time we did it some guy from the campsite helped us out ?? and I diddnt see him do it. This may sound silly but doesnt alot of the gas escape when changing these things???

Jacki

Don't know the price of the hose but my regulator was purchased at W.M. Camping at Herne Common Kent. Bit far for you but I,m sure  you've someone in the vicinity. Apreciate the danger of buying what you don't need, but then there is so many good things on display. The spanner is nothing special but needs to be the right size. Personally, I use an adjustable. You won't loose any gas whilst changing as there is a shut of valve on the bottle which is only pushed open as you screw the regulator in. NB. left hand thread, so when it won't screw in try turning it the other way !!! Mick.

My hose was £1.35 a metre. The regulator was £7.99, this was for a Camping Gaz 907 cylinder. I don't what yours is Jackie, but make sure it's the right regulator for the right bottle.

Yes Debby - I think as Darren has the day off tomorrow we will take a trip out to the camping shop - just to make sure we get the right one - but this camping business is getting expensive -  I left the putting down of the Dandy in the sole hands of Darren and my nephews and guess what they managed to "lose" one of the Dandy inside roof frame poles (dont tell him I told you) so I have had to order one of those today from Riva.

Luckily we put it up again as soon as we got back or we would have had a nasty surprise when we go out again on 17th and to the hereford meet - I dont think we could have camped with just 2 poles?? I probably would have tried though!!!

Oh dear!  You could have managed with 2 poles if you didn't mind the roof draped over your head!!

I've fallen out with my Dandy, first I dropped the door panel on my head, then dropped the window panel the wrong way and snapped off one of the hinges - I was trying to prove a point to my OH that I could do it without any help - serves me right!  I have done it on my own, but you need a fair amount of strength to hold up both panels while you slot the roof bars over, and three arms would help!
