Hello Campers,
Last Saturday I ordered roofbars and a Thule Atlantis 200 roofbox, over the internet, from the Roofbox Company. On Tuesday both items were delivered and I rushed home from work eager to get to grips with my new kit!
However upon opening the carton containing the Atalntis 200 I was shocked to find that the rear of the roofbox was badly damaged. Obviously the chaps employed by the courier company had no concept of the word 'Fragile' which was emblazoned in thick black lettering on three sides of the carton, and had dropped another parcel, of some considerable weight, on my roofbox. This was the last thing I needed as I had a trip organised for this Friday and the roofbox was an essential part of my plans!
I phoned the Roofbox Co on Wednesday morning and explained my predicament to them. They were very understanding and, from what I could gather, this was not the first time something like this had occurred. They promised to despatch a new roofbox which would reach me by Thursday so I would have it in time for my trip, and they also agreed to pickup the damaged roofbox at the same time at no extra cost.
I'm glad to say they were as good as their word. When I got home from work today a shiny new, undamaged roofbox was waiting for me, and the damaged one had been taken away. Everything was there ready for my trip at the weekend! I'd just like to say thanks to the staff at the Roofbox Co who were courteous and helpful, and provided a first class service with no quibbling. Now all they need to do is find a courier company that takes adequate care with parcels that are marked 'Fragile'!
