Could anyone give me tips in how to get my sleeping bags back in the bag once I've finished camping? I am really losing patience with them, I have two singles and a double to get sorted.
ohh dear! do the really go back in the bags? hubby is ex-army and does it, I just throw them in a binbag, or stomp them into the ground and swear a little bit
now you got me thinking! as our double sleeping bag is not in its bag I tried to put it in and it slipped everywhere, so I sat on it and fumed inside...then looked across the room and there in the wardrobe was a empty 'under-storage-bag', from the poundshop! I folded it up and put it in there, and my sons thick scooby-doo sleeping bag, plus his woolen crochet blanket and a foam roll up mattress thingy! all in the one bag, so saved space and its all tidy
I am going to buy some more of these £1 bags they have been so handy!
The bag that they come in is supposed to be stuff sack - and so that's what i do.
Start with the bottom end and just stuff it in the bag - all of our sleeping bags go back into their bags like this even my Vango Astral which is huge and goes into an XL compression sac.
Had a search through old messages and found that a lot of people stuff them in so it does not effect the stuffing always being folded the same way. The kids and I have now been successful in packing away the sleeping bags. Thanks
I use those great big laundry bags to store ours in and then shove 'em in the attic. Blinkin nightmare to get them in the stuff bag when we're off again.
I think air-beds are much harder to pack away.. still try and pack ours away in the box it came in but its getting harder now the box has become more tatty
