Hope it is OK to post this question here.

We are off camping in torquay/brixham and would like to buy a couple of wetsuits. Anyone know a good place to buy new or second hand wetsuits? Looked on ebay but had to know if they will fit.

Kind Regards

Craig

Hi

have just returned from that part of the world. All the local somerfields had them on offer £11 for kids and a bit more for adluts - they had sizes from 22 inch to 40 inch chest. Tpically didnt have 26 inch chest anywhere which is what we were looking for!

Hope you enjoy yourselves - if you have kids you should go to living coast the penguin beach is brill!

pobrey.. shush.. dont spoil it for us all.. we are travelling 400 miles on Thursday for this surf.. shush now...

RE Somerfields wet suits.. check em out.. really check em out.. its all about how thick they are, most are 3mm, BUT even the cheaper ones from the shops on the front will make knees etc 5mm.. the ones from the supermarkets don't!

Been some good ones on ebay this week, I know we got one, but if you have never done this before go to a shop and try them on.. they have to be the right size... (not sure if you know this already) but.. too small and you wont be able to move on the board (what ever that might be), and too big and they wont hold the water within the suit to warm it up.. it will constantly get flushed out.. (this isn't what you want to happen).

Craig.. when and where you going mate?? We head off Thursday to Perranporth, but will no doubt to Watergate bay and the other good beaches during our 10 days.

Hope the surf gets up for ya mate and that your first big spill aint to heavy.. I only used a body board last year but this was in the middle of the storms that wiped Boscastle off the face of the map... I took a few heavy hits from 6-8 footers.. watch ya self for sure if your a newbie like me.

All the best

Chris

PS you do know about this???

Try Mission Adventure in Brixham, very helpful staff and do wetsuits.

Their number is 01803 855796

Hope they can help.
