Have managed 4 people (all adults) and camping gear( 2 tents etc) in a fiesta.

Have decided my fiesta is like Mary Poppin's carpet bag.

We just came back from five weeks camping in France....we got two adults, two kids, bike seat, 3-way fridge, large tent, kitchen tent and cooker stand, snorkling gear, body board, sports equipment and all other stuff into a Renault Savanna Estate. No roofbox....we needed the roof for the bikes.

I still think I took too much. How long are you going for? Remember, you can always hunt down extra things in local shops, so don`t take them "just in case". And charity shops are good sources of odd emergency items, like an extra pan.

depends on how old/big the kids are but get them to sit on the sleeping bags and fill the footwells up even the front passenger seat, dont take to much food with you buy it there but use the space in the fridge to put your kicthen stuff in and last but most important makesure the last thing you put in is the tent as this will be the first thing to come out, ohyes nearly forgot put a strap over the roof box, dont want your stuff down the motorway when the lid springs open!! your table should go in the roof box and then other stuff on that

Don't worry too much, cause no matter what you've got you will always run out of room, well I do. I'm always buying the next gadget or other, OH is always groaning when I go to Lidls or netto. I just can't help myself.

Totally addicted to camping

No matter what you have, it'll never be big enough for what you'd like to take......
