"Just add up the wattage of everything you intend to plug in to see if you go over the top. Much easier than all that long division! Just be careful with fridges and microwaves as they have an intial spike that exceeds the rated wattage, so allow a good margin of safety if in doubt."

A lot depends what type of MCB is fitted at the hook up post. If a type C or D breaker is fitted then the "Short spikes" (Startin or inrush current as it is correctly called) would not be enough to trip the breaker As the breaker is not so sensitive. Don't get confused between MCB and RCD which trips instantly on earth faults.
