I know this is not camping or caravaning but we are desperate........

we are,or I should say been trying all day to fit a shower rail in the bathroom, bought it in IKEA its a load of rubbish.so we have decided to cut our losses and take the whole lot back for a refund.

We dont have a bath, just a shower and the rail we used to have fell apart and we cant find another like it.This one from IKEA was like our old one,or so we thought, its just a load of rubbish.

So we want to fit a rail in a corner, one wall is wallboards the other solid brick,it needs to be an L shape.Anyone know how we can achieve this, without going completely barking mad in the process.

Any help would be very welcome,as we are desperate and everyones getting showers and flooding out the bathroom, how can something that seemed like it was so simple have turned into the job from hell.

Screwfix do one which can make up into several different shapes, it is very good, we have used 2 of them.  You will need to drill and plug the brick, and use a good plasterboard fixing on the other wall, one that grips the board, Screwfix do them too.  The rail has a ceiling rod to support the bend, use the same type fixing in the ceiling.

Hello, just an idea but how about a circular pole? Only has one fixing so you could do that onto your brick wall and curtain just goes round it..

I think we need a bit more information as to the exact nature of your problem!

Is it the shape of rail or the method of fixing?

you use raw plugs for the brick wall and plasterboard plugs for the other wall how hard canit be to screw a screw in a wall.
