We go camping quite often and usually take disposable BBQ's with us, we have seen other campers with stands to put the BBQ's on, we have looked all over the place for these but cannot find them anywhere, we usually have to make do with local rocks, can anybody help us and tell us where we can get them from?

Thanks Kathryn x

Tescos B&Q safeway all have them about £2 and they take a double one way up and single the other. I have only ever seen them at the begining of the season.

Do a search, this has been discussed in the last week or so.  I think the answer was B&Q but use the search option to check.

Kathryn, just use some bricks or stones...We've been on a few site lately that won't allow you to use these type of bbqs.. even with the stands, but will 'loan' you some bricks to put under them..and they're free...!

I bought mine in Sainsbury's a few years ago - but have never seen one there since. However, Tesco had some about a month ago. They are definitely very useful as you can light your BBQ on top of your camp kitchen (provided it's stable!) thus making it a more convenience height for cooking.

We use a tier of a three tier camp kictchen stand, that keeps it well of the ground with none of them horrible burn marks on the grass.

Happy Camping

We use a metal tray designed for A4 papers and bought in desperation in Woolies when we couldn't find the proper thing in Keswick. It's turned out to be really useful as a dish drainer, fits neatly under the camp kitchen and by sheer good fortune the washing up bowl sits inside it as if made to measure!

I bought mine from B&Q last year - it stands about 2' 5" tall and folds flat - and very sturdy.
