Weve lent our EHU to friends who are camping ( in our tent) for the first time.

The EHU was working this morning and theyve phoned today to say it isnt now! Theyve tried their neighbours EHU in the socket ( so it isnt the site electrics) have tried a variety of appliances in both ( they worked in the neighbour EHU and not in ours)

I said to flick the trip switch and safety switch and its not had any effect. If its any help our EHU is a brand called 'powersafe' or something similar. Its a proper one and looks like the three plug one which is currently being sold in argos for £99.Could anyone advise what may be wrong and anything that could be done to fix it either there on site or when we get the EHU back?

Its only its 6th ever outing ( too long ago since we had it bought for us it sadly to take it back) but Im hoping the techies might have some ideas?

The only obvious things to do with it unplugged from the mains is to check that the wires in the plug and trip have not become dislodged in handling .

That will hopefully be the problem otherwise the trip unit could have failed but I would have thought that unlikely.

Check the fuse in the plug, this can still "blow" even with  a trip switch.

Jarobin. which plug ( sorry to appear dull here) Is there a fuse inside the blue connector which they could check themselves?

Ive phoned our local camping store who have said sure bring it in and they will certainly have a look, the guy said its very unusual for the 3 plug EHU units to just stop working without the trip switch activating and he was sure he'd be able to fix it more cheaply than replacement
