had a brainwave this morning. those toilet thingys what clip over side of the toilet with blue liquid in them.well mine had run out.I spied a bottle of bleach  with a flip top pourer under the sink and refilled the plastic bottle .works a treat .my toilet is flipping sparkling .if anyone wants to send me the money you can save on this tip.I promise I won`t embarress you by refusing.

If i even attempted to buy one of those things that hook over the toilet i`d be shot at dawn

My hubby has unblocked more toilets than i care to mention in 26 years from those that have fallen in their loos and blocked them.

I have to agree with Jackie.  They are a plumber's dream. 

Simple question at the outset, did you use a toilet cleaner? Mmmm! Out with plunger and £75 later

Tried to fill our toilet plastic thingy with bleach, but its a block one and the bleach runs through the holes. Any ideas.!!!!!!!!!!

get a wire coat hanger ,a nappy bag .and .oh on second thoughts get some filler---- or maybe buy one without holes.
