Hi Bill you phone Sky tell them you want the £20 card Free to View channels and that it is for your static caravan they don't like tourers having them so it is easier to say it is for a static saves a lot of explaining

Hi Wildie I tried our old card that was from home but not paid for etc, when we got the £20 card we got alot more channels so don't know if that has changed since we got ours.

From this month you can get ITV without a card as well as BBC I,BBC 2 and a lot more so if you don't mind not having Ch 4 or Ch 5 you can manage without a card.
A strange anomaly with Sky is that with the £20 freeview card you can not get Eurosport but with any paid for viewing card in the wrong box you can get the freeview card channels plus Eurosport but not the pay channels that you can get in the correct box.

all we are missing is 3 or 4 channels thats it, living tv and +2 other channels they not worth watching, as for cable man when they turn it off its gone 16 channels left not one free to view on cable card or no card unless you pay then monthly for basic package, as for freeview stb`s you dont get nearly as many as the one sky offer, if you ask me this freeview is aload of cobblers and a ripoff not one service out of the 3 gives the same channels some less some more and some hardly none.
sloghtly O/T: we don't live in a freeview area so we're looking at a second hand sky digibox and dish for home but will need to fit the dish ourselves.
Be really carefull if you get viewing cards off Ebay. Some only work under certain conditions and some wont work after a period of time. Heard a lot of stories about them. With it only being £20, go straight to Sky.
Now that the ITV channels are no longer encrypted, then all the FreeSat cards offer above that is C4 and C5. The rest you don't need a card for. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me...
If you subscribe to Sky at home and take your normal viewing card with you in the van (inside a different decoder) then any premium channels (Sports, Movies etc) won't work because the card is registered to the box at home, but all your other package channels will work just fine.
