I have heard about £20 one off Sky Cards. Where and how do I get one and what channels do I get for £20.

Or tell them it's for your home if you don't have Sky already , and that you've been given an old Sky box you want to use . That's what i did .

Got one in the van and one at home not had any queries from Sky and both work fine, although not too many channels.

From this month you can get ITV without a card  as well as BBC I,BBC 2 and a lot more so if you don't mind not having Ch 4 or Ch 5 you can manage without a card.

A strange anomaly with Sky is that with the £20 freeview card you can not get Eurosport but with any paid for viewing card in the wrong box you can get the freeview card channels plus Eurosport but not the pay channels that you can get in the correct box.

I cannot get 'History' E4 and a few more on Sky while I can on Freeview.

What's worse is searching for what I can get amongst all the ones I carn't

Now that the ITV channels are no longer encrypted, then all the FreeSat cards offer above that is C4 and C5. The rest you don't need a card for. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me...

If you subscribe to Sky at home and take your normal viewing card with you in the van (inside a different decoder) then any premium channels (Sports, Movies etc) won't work because the card is registered to the box at home, but all your other package channels will work just fine.
