Ha ha good humour on this thread lol.. I use a sat/nav its the navman pin, its portable so i can use it off road too. I use digital O/S maps as well as road maps. Works great..
My satnav is a TomTom Go - I wouldn't be without it (I drive a lot as part of my job). I've currently got the women directing me (english accent not american thank goodness) - the fella drove me potty (bit like my hubbie really ) and I had to turn him off before I'd finished my first journey!!
hubby as a navman on the womens voice and a 5 year in the back of the car repeating all the comments "take the next exit" "destination complete"!!!!!!!
thats the best comment for be better than the usual are we there yet!!!!
My son and a load of mates went to Stoke on Trent new skate plaza on Sunday from Bristol. Fine all the way up but 20 miles from home in the dark on the M5 it directed them to Dursley town centre and it then it got them lost. Rang me up to look at the map and get them back home the last few miles.
I have an Acer PDa with Tom-tom and have added various voices including Yoda, C3PO, Darth Vader, Ozzy (bleaped & RUDE!!), John Cleese etc.
Boy did the kids laugh the first time they heard some of them!!
