Hi all, sorry for the double post.. i stuck this in the wrong place first time around.. sorry about that... anyways

Anyone got the above? A Snugpak Sleeper Xtreme sleeping bag

Looking for a sleeping bag around the £40 mark.. that I can use during the winter, possibly whilst wild camping.

Been looking at the Vango's - Wilderness 350 & Nitestar 350, the Wilderness one looking to be the best price, but the Nightstar looks the better bag?

Any one got any suggestions PLEASE feel free to add your 2 pence... I have visions of me turning into an ice block half way up some lakeland hillside...

Cheers

Chris

I've got a Snugpack, can't remember its name till I get back home tonight.

It's in two parts - a nice lightweight bag and a medium one - then for five season stuff they zip together.

I've been comfortable in the medium on its own in minus temps. Not had one of our Welsh mountain very very cold trips yet to check out the double.

Frank

I saw this on a web site somewhere.. you get me the name and I'll go look again.. I dismissed it thinking.. "why would you want to buy two" .. even though the advert says that if you have both of these they will take up less room and less weight that anything else that could give you the same warmth.

Many thanks

Chris

Hey Frank

They do look to be the best ones, and I have found them on the net, but they are way out of my price range, so I will have to make do I think with the one I quoted.

Thanks for your time

Chris

Chris

I know price is an issue, but that Snugpack looks a bit under spec. for what you want to do.

3100g weight seems heavy, and being Synthetic it's gonna be bulky. Comfort rating of 5deg? I think I'd want something warmer in the Hills.

Have a look for a good down bag , I use a Mountain Euipment Dreamcatcher which I would recommend without hesitation.

Again, I appreciate cost is an issue, but being cold just aint an option.

Cheers!

Dave
