Having forgotten that the roofbox was on, I've tried to reverse into the garage. As a result, the box was smashed on the wall and got a hole in one corner. What kind of glue would you suggest to use to put the bits back together?
If you've got all the bits then you might get away with some sort of epoxy resin like araldite but I suspect you might need to make some sort of internal reinforcement out of fibre glass.
using fiber glass on the box wont work as it wont bond to the box as well as you think, you need somat strong and flexible, as too what, I have no idea as I dont know what your box is made of.
if its fibre glass you can use fibre glass car body repair stuff on the inside once you have roughed it up a bitand it should work. You can buy it in a kit with the hardener ,resin and fine or course matting .
I think my roofbox is made from polly propelene, it was just a bog standard halfords one though
You can also get a metal mesh to reinforce the epoxy resin (fibreglass), which I would use in your case to make a former or "armature" to stick the old bits onto. This should be shaped to the inside and stuck to the unbroken area, then when set put on the broken pieces with more epoxy resin paste.

I like the odd drink. Five is odd, seven is odd, nine is odd...........
right seeing its made from fiberglass, you need to rub the shine off it really rough it up a lot, you cant be too scared of it as when you put the repair resin on it, it be smooth as glass again it needs a good key base to grab onto.
After repair with fibre matting plus resin (and yes, don't be afraid of sandpaper), first it is preferred to apply a few layers of the stuff, tile wise from smal to a larger sirface. Do use the sand paper well on each layer and don't forget to take account of this tile-wise procedure in the preparation with sandpaper. If you do that you can get a perfectly smooth surface. On top you could apply a gel-coat with or without colour if you want. This type of stuff (gel coat, and also fibre matting and resin) should be obtainable in a good paint-shop and in some canoe/kayak shops and repairers. Car-part shops often have the fobre and matting )in smaller pieces) but often don't have gel coat as they presuppose an other type of finish with car paint. By the way if you have a smooth surface after the repair, a spray can of car paint also is a good methof of colour-finish.

Gorilla Glue with Fibreglass matting. sticks like *it to a
blanket.
Best place to get all the bits for fibreglass ( and advice if you ring them ) is http://www.cfsnet.co.uk They usually sell in bulk but do smaller bits as well if you ask. When I was doing up my boat, I almost had an open line to them. They sell all the stuff you don't get in normal high street shops. They may even have something that does what you need.
