I am about to do the same (well in spring when its warmer). I asked in the caravan section about the omnivent version and got lots of positive replies.see:-

The hardest part seems to be getting the old mastic off, thats why I am waiting until spring as it comes off easier in the warm. Most comments from other caravaners with powered vents are that they could not live without them.
The Omnivent is a direct replacement for any standard 400cmx400cm vent if you have 12v powerat the vent. I have looked at mine (2005 sprite major 5) and the cables are already in the roof so its easy.
