Here is where you can get them from.  Not sure if this is expensive or not, but I got 2 of them last year.  They are about the size of a bucket ( in-fact they would just fit inside a bucket ).  These are the 907 ones.  I wouldn't bother getting anything smaller.  They come up on Ebay from time to time, but most will not send them through the post.  I have seen them on there for around £20.  They are about £14 to re-fill ( have got them done for £11 before ).

Sometimes you can scrounge a cylinder down at the recycling yard and then go and exchange it for a full one at the local canping shop. This saves having to pay the deposit on a cylinder.

The 901`s are tiny and you`ll be hard pressed to find refills for them. 904`s are good if you want to take two cylinders and but save space, but 907`s are definately the most common. One of them would last me a two week trip if I was lucky...that`s why I take two, so I can run the cooker off one and the fridge or barbecue off the other and not run out during mid-cook!

Whatever you get, don`t lose the little screw-in carry handle. You need this when you exchange the empty for a full cylinder.

Hi

Most camping shops sell the 907 or refill them if you can get hold of the bottle from the tip or look in your yellow pages for your local gas suppliers, ours deliver to our house, also the camping gas website says argos do them which supprised me.

We have the 907 and we put it in our fire bucket which also goes in our bucket with lid so they are very easy pack.

Or get a calor gas bottle and regulator and through the camping gaz regulator away. Calor is much cheaper although not so easy to get on the continent.

get down to the recycling centre, quite a few dont take gas cylinders, but people dump them anyway, so they are glad to get rid!
