Yes, do a search for porch awnings in this forum and the caravan one and you will find a lot of discussion. We've got the Panorama XL by Basecamp and it's easy to put up (can do it on my own) and if pegged out properly it stands up to snow, rain and wind.
The only disadvantage with this type is that they are not joined to the caravan at the edges and, particularly if the pitch is sloping, it is difficult to get them right up to the van so you can get rain blowing in at the edges or pooling on the roof and dripping in. We just make sure all our gear is at the other side, away from the caravan door.
