Hi Marky, we are also new to caravanning.  We started off buying an easy porch which is great for short trips £135.  However we are going on a tour of europe this year and need something bigger.  So we have looked at all the awnings available.  It all depends on what you want to spend.  Also the larger the caravan the larger the price.  The common choices are Dorema which are relatively cheap in comparison, but do have a problem with fading.  Next up is a Bradcot, seem to be good but did not like the cloth texture.  Next is the Isabella which seems to be a top of the range.  We have gone for an Inaca which is spanish.  Looks good, quality good and has an array of zip out doors so that you can configure it as you like.  We are planning our first outing soon.  Happy shopping, hope this helps

HI,

Have been caravanning since 1973.  Used all kinds of awnings over the years.  Bought a NR last summer.  Delighted with the quality, 5year Guarantee & price.

Hiya Marky,

the wife and i are newbies as well and we have just recieved our new awning.i spent hours in stores and on the forums and ploped for the NR ixl executive and we are the same as Peter T. well pleased. from ordering to our house 2days, excellent packing and a pleasure to deal with ( had sent 3 e-mails asking questions with instant replies) i was also told that if it did not fit for some reason they wood help no problem( where else do you get that these days? My opinion Marky NR all the time:-))

i wish you well

Frank
