Someone cut the end off my piece of string, so I have no idea how long it is

I can't answer your other question. We tow a folding camper with everything inside it, so dont need a roof box.

If you do what JK98 suggested which is a very good suggestion try to pack the tent so it is THE VERY FIRST item you can get to, nothing worse than having to pull every thing out to get to the tent if it's raining, not speaking from experiance you understand would'nt make that sort of newbies mistake

We're picking up our trailer tent en route to our first camping trip, so will have all the other clobber in the car - what do you reckon are our chances? Two adults and one child in a PT Cruiser, going for a week (next week, so winter gear needed!).
