Any good peeps, anyone use one?

http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/product/index.jhtml?pid=50355977

There is a rumour that it is £19.98 in store, but the shop I just rang stated it was £29.99.

No probs WS - has anyone used one?

Please remember the price is £29.99, on Moneysavingexpert.com a poster says that in his lcoal store they are 19.98, but that might just be a pricing anomaly.

As I say, I rang my local store, and they reckoned £29.99.

Argos sell a 28L Thermos one for £39.99, so if it is the more expensive price, it is still a good deal, just not quite as much of a stonking deal!

I'm going to have a look on Friday most likely, so I would be interested to hear what prices people find in the meantime - if they go to look of course :-)

The question you need to ask is how many degrees below ambient temperature will it cool? Many are just 15 or 18 degrees which is a waste of time in temperatures of over 25 degrees. We had a cooler that cooled to 25 degrees below ambient temperature and it worked brilliantly - even had ice in it if we left it running overnight.

We bought the lidl one for £24.99 a couple of years back. Load it up before we go with frozen milk for day three and it does ok. They go through the battery very quickly but are fine in the car or on a transformer.

Some Woolworth stores will independantly further reduce "sale" items.  I picked up a battery pack at the one near work for £10 last year but the one near home (less than 5 miels away) were still selling for £20.
