Went to Mountain warehouse last year in August at Peak Village and picked up some bargain waterproof jackets for the kids.

Just found the ones nearer to me - deffinately will be going for a butchers at some point.

So where have you had your best bargains?

Caseys for over the counter. Smashing, friendly people there who really know their stuff. Their small shop is well stocked and they have a big tent display area.

Online I like World of Camping. Always arrives the next day and when I did once have to ring them up re damage to a parcel it was collected and replaced the next day. Great customer service.

Not ABC Camping under any circumstances!

Outdoor Megastore for online. We got loads from there and the prices and service was great not to mention to personal effort the put in to the price descriptions that never fail to put a smile on my face.

Army & Navy store because they really do have everything and more and the staff really know their stuff and are so helpful. Not badly priced either and they always have tents on display. Love 'em!

We get a lot of our kit from decathlon if there is one close by to you cracking prices and they cater for all sports. I got me and the wife waterproof all weather walking boots £70 for two pairs, had them two years and still going strong. I know they have a web site but not sure if you can order off there.

I agree about Jacksons - I reckon it's probably the best camping shop I've ever visited. Had loads from them over the years. If they don't have it or can't get it, it probably isn't available anywhere. And the staff are knowledgable too. Excellent indoor tent display.

Barretts of Feckenham can be good on price - when they have a sale it's a proper sale, with literally everything in store, right down to the smallest item, reduced. Had loads from them over the years too (only about 3 miles from us!). And if you buy mail order from them on tents, they do free delivery in the UK. And often they will price-match if you can show them evidence an item is cheaper elsewhere. Reasonable outdoor tent display.

Attwools near Gloucester is good with reasonable indoor tent display. They have a repair facility too. Sometimes have stuff some other places don't have (we got our Relum 3 pole toilet tent there a few years ago, never seen 'em anywhere else).

Towsure isn't bad (we use their Halesowen store) but don't always have everything in store that's in the catalogue. Their catalogue is comprehensive though so don't have to visit their stores. Give a small discount to C&CC members. 

Best tent display is outdoor one at Midwest camping near Knowle (Solihull, W.Mids) - may have been taken over by Yeomans? Amongst others a good range of Cabanon tents on show and some Khyams. Only a small accessory shop.

Go Outdoors in Coventry is reasonable too - big & spacious and operate a discount card system - you buy a card for £3 and it gets you discounted price on all their stuff. Got a fleece jacket for £5 there - perfect fit as zip-in for my waterproof coat. Had the cheapest 3 gang EHU I'd seen (didn't buy it). Not all their prices are the cheapest around though, even with the discount. Only place I've seen the Khyam Tourer tents erected.
