hi, like I said, just be very careful.  Tamgyp- the 260 is 2 sectons of the 390 as each section measures 130 so if your awning is dipping near the front of the van with the 390 then the 260 should fit no problem without any dips.  Good luck, G

It's the 260 we've the problem with - only have a small van   Will let you know how we get on but won't be for a while.  Off on hols abroad next week - next trip in the caravan will be late May bank hol weekend.

Just to check and see if shortning the pole would work use a wind break pole or similar to make a hole in the ground where tent pole sits and let it down into the hole this should tell you if shortning the pole would work, I don't think it will as the pole length is critical to the tensioning of the fabric properly over the shape hence my using hole in the ground method
