Hello,

Whenever we camp my 5 year old son has a habit of rolling off his airbed in his sleep and then howling until someone puts him back! Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to stop him falling off his airbed or alternative sleeping arrangements?

Thanks, Neil

put less air into the airbed, his weight should cause it to dip and possibly make it harder for him to roll out

You could take a couple of extra pillows and put them either on the bed next to him, or on the ground ready to catch him!!  Or a couple of rolled up towels might do the same trick.  Good luck!!!

Hi Neil, my daughter has a "readyh bed' from sunncamp. It's a sleeping bag attached to an airbed. They are very comfortable and she never rolls anywhere now.

Cover the floor of his pod with cheap foam camping mats, cut to fit exactly. Mats are fine for lightweight kids to sleep on and if the whole pod is floored then he can`t roll off it, can he? It`s also a nice warm surface for him to sit and play on.

Didn't someone point out a place selling bungees cheap recently??

Obviously he might not be keen to be strapped to an airbed by a couple of bungees...but... you could sell the idea as some sort of "bed seat-belt"...

I shall experiment on my 5 yr old and keep you informed

Steve
