how warm are silk liners?

Which would you choose without considering cost-----Silk, cotton, fleece

Any advise would be great,

Without considering cost you would just buy all three of them wouldn't you?

If you want warmth then get proper microfleece.

Silk/cotton ones are just so you don't have to wash a sleeping bag, or if borrowing/hirihng bedding or if it's really hot and you want to cover your modesty.

As recommended by someone else on here, we bought the Khyam fleece sleeping bags - blimey they came in handy last weekend.

Didn't seem that cold, so went with our standard bags, come 3AM it was evident it was cold, extracted them from the other bedroom, and nice and toasty - fleece hood you can wrap around your head and neck is genius.

£13/14 each IIRC

We use a double duvet cover  I just turned it insideout, unpicked each side down to about 22" and fitted a zip each side so it's easier to get out of. Works fine.
