We are going on a nine week trip around France, Italy and Germany in June and after studing a lot of threads on this site and on another about gas in Europe we have a couple of questions. At the moment we are using Calor but it seems we will have to change to Campingaz as it is available everywhere but more expensive or to a refillable type of bottle.
Has anybody got any experience of using the lightweight gas bottles from MTH Autogas http://www.mthautogas.co.uk/ or refillable gas bottles from Gasflow in Europe. Both MTH Autogas and Gasflow claim that you can refill the bottles at service stations but some people say that some service station refuse you to fill gas bottles that is not fitted to cars. The other comment I've read about is that the leightweight ones does not have an 80% cut-off stop valve to stop you overfilling it hence service stations don't want to refill them but as you can see how much you are putting in you don't need a stop valve.
As it is our first time camping Europe all advise and help would be apreciated.
