Just wanted to say - there is a lot of supplier-bashing goes on on here (having read recent threads about ABC) and I was worried when we had to return a faulty heater to Camperlands last week. While we were there we also raised the point of a free mains bag we had forgotten to pick up on our previous visit, although I'd given up hope on this...
The customer service was EXCELLENT. Apologised about the heater (said it was a new line) - took our word immediately for the fault, got a replacement and unpacked and checked it in the shop for us, got the free bag straight away and didn't question or ask for the receipt!
No, I'm not on commission! Nor am I suggesting that people exploit this and try it on. Just think that too often people focus on the bad, and that a shop with this attitude to customer service should be rewarded - have only just started going here, but now wouldn't go anywhere else!
Must agree with you despite not seeing the posts on ABC,I did see the posts on the outdoor megastore and it was nice that there were peaple defending ther service as well as bashing it.....
------------- We only go camping to see what we have forgotten and what we need to get for next time. If only we could remember where we put the list..................
Glad you had better luck than us at Camperlands. We returned a Khyam Windbreak last year that was faulty and the staff where rude and would not give us our money back. After lots of talking one member of staff reluctently gave us a credit note.
Today we tried to return a campingaz airbed that keeps going down. We did ring up and was told to return it after an hours trip husband was told by staff valves do not leak and we must of burst it. She then did us the favour and gave us a free £1.99 repair kit and sent him packing.
We have been all over it with soappy water and cannot find a leak anywhere. Do not know weather to do a 2 hour round trip back or just order from Go Outdoors our olthert nearest stockist as we will be giving CAMPERLANDS a wide birth from now on
We bought our Cadac from Camperlands which arrived with a slight dent in the rim. I rang up about it and was immediately offered a replacement part or a discount and free postage which was credited back to my card. They didnt even ask to see the damage. I'm sorry to hear that Snes, Moz and Jordan didnt have the same treatment as they are high on my list of good people to do business with.

Hi, A friend of mine bought a montana tent from camperlands about a month ago, when they erected it in the garden it started to rain and they noticed the tent was leaking. when they returned it to camperlands the owner did not want to give them a refund and informed them that all of outwell's tents leaked, my friendtold him she would contact outwell themselfs and inform them of his wise comments he then threatend my friend who has a terminal illness by saying he knew where she lived if he had anycome backs. A member off staff who had sold the tent to my friend called her husband latter that day to appoligise for the managers behaviour. Her husband called the police are involved and investigating the incident so i would not go to this store let alone buy from them.
I use to go to camperlands quite regular until about 3 years ago. i paid £180 for a tent which when opened was missing poles and inner tents, took it back for a refund and to my digust was called a liar and a thief and was also pushed by the so called manager, anyhow after my persistance one of the other staff gave me a full refund.it would serve this pratt right if everybody boycotted the joint and the buisness went bump, I for one would never go near the place again, i would rather drive 100 miles further at least then i may get the respect a customer deserves
hiya been going to camperlands for years now and must admit have never had any problems always been seen to in a friendly and professional manner and have no complaints with them
We have had a good few items from Camperlands without any problems I think it just depends on which staff are on at the time because last year when we were looking for a gelert tent they told us they did not sell them because they were crap now all of sudden they are selling them so I think its whom you get at the time. I would also say up until recently they did not have any competitors on such a grand scale in the local area but now surely they should start being careful as they do have competition in the local areas
Ive always had really good service with camperlands, even though I didnt but my Trigano tt from them they have been very helpfull, also ordered a pantry of the website and when it came it was the wrong one, wasn't their fault the box was right but the pantry was the larger one inside the box. they said I could keep the more expensive pantry or they would arrange for some one to pick it up, and they came the next day, I was really impressed with the service. Also give me really good advice about a tear in my sun awning and how to mend it, and also had a problem with my cooker and the lads showed me how to put it right.
It really surprised me other peoples experience wasn't the same.
I have used camperland and found them fine the only fault I have with them Is they have one member of there staff team on th etill and he is a miserable little s**t.
I dont think he like me much though cos I ask him to smile whilst he is robbing me....
my last trip I got him again and asked him that with all the tents and camping gear around didnt he ever feel like taking his face away on holiday...........I cheered the que's of customers up no end...
He still didnt smile.
This is now my mission....LMAO
