Any ideas where I can buy cheaply a portable TV, want it for when weather is bad and I need to entertain the kids.  Would consider Black and White.  Any suggestions only seen ones for over £100

Kacy75,  after over 40 phone calls I have found a campsite willing to take me for bank holiday                                                                                                                  ,

Many of the big supermarkets have bargin 14" mains ones as a rule but if you really need one of those 12v.....oooohhhh more money everytime I'm afraid. Best to get a pitch with an EHU and go cheaper tele's.

I got a lil B&W with radio one off ebay for 99p! Came to £6 with postage. I got it cos I'm fed up of missing casualty when camping at the weekend! There seems to be plenty of them on there for around that price too so might be worth a look.

Our local market has a stall that sells pre-owned (thats 2nd hand to you and me) electrical equipment, maybe yours does.

Hi there,

Just a word of warning,

Dont pay too much for a portable/handheld analogue televison,

The analogue signals are going to be turned off come 2012 and then you will only be able to recieve a digital signal,

Analogue signals will be a thing of the past,

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Wayne10788

I've seen loads of the 5.5" B&W TV's with built in Radio for £5, boxed, at our local (larger) Car Boot Sale.

Unfortunately we paid that for a secondhand one a few stalls before and the blinking thing doesn't work
