i use a holdall. I got mine from Tsco's and it easily holds 3 sets of clothes for 2 adults and 3 kids plus a couple of towels so ideal for short breaks / wekends away. It also had wheels with a handal that pulls out. £9.97 from Tescos.

We use one holdall for two of us, but it's one of those with separate zip on sections at each end, so clothes & towels go in main section, undies in one end section, and toiletries, camera, glasses etc in the other separate end section.

Pop up laundry bags with zip lid sounds good. Where do you get them?
I use vaccum bags for transporting and folding crates on site.

I use those blue bags you get from Ikea (1 each) and then put the different types of clothes in different plastic bags inside them. It is great because the blue bag can then squash and mould themselves to take up the minimum amount of space in the car

maas - we also use vacuum bags and foldaway crates. But last time, we were a bit too enthusiastic about the sucking, and ended up with a flat bag that was so rigid, it was like trying to wedge a sheet of MDF into the car !
You can get the pop up things in just about any pound shop, and best of all, they cost only a pound !!

For the two of us, we have a mid-sized holdall and a rucksack each, to hold the toiletries and a couple of towels.
Seems to work......

I use a big holdall for me and my son. Most of the clothes are his!
I keep a spare set of clothes, shoes and a towel for both of us in a separate bag kept in the car (for emergencies ie "I fell in the stream..."

I like the idea of separating clothes into supermaket bags inside the holdall. Will be trying it soon.

We each have one of those supermarket bags from Lakeland for our clothes. They have flat bottoms so stand up and are easy to squash into the back of estate.

we got some 'underbed storage bags' from £shop, they are large square packs and plastic on the top so you can see inside, ideal for the kids closths, so the can see at a glance wear socks and jimjams are
they are also great for packing pillows and sleeping bags/blankets
thats what we use and it stops our twin girl teenagers from arguing - if it dosent fit, it doesnt go
