Just thinking about bbq-ing on a miserable day - would it be safe to do in the awning or would it just fill up with smoke etc?

We go on our 1st ever trip on Friday and I am beginning to panic abit!

I keep thinking of all sorts of problems that could arise and I want to be prepared for all eventualities - however I think if I do that I'm gonna be pushing it on the weight front giving me another problem to worry about!!!! lol Need to chill out and just start to look forward to this new adventure!!!

Anyway, any help about he bbq situation appreciated.

no, barbecuing in the awning, as you say it would just fill up with smoke.

if its raining i stand mine just outside the awning door, then stand inside to watch over it.

works for me.

Get a Cobb! You can use it in the van once it is alight, it will not make smoke, and it will keep the van/awning warm at the same time. You can also move it about when it is ON! Hope that helps.

Once saw a family doing their BBQ in the awning ,next thing all started throwing up , site owner said it was similar to carbonmioxide poisoning. Had to go to hospital to be checked out, 2 little ones had a nasty cough for the rest of the week.

SO NO BBQ IN THE AWNING
