 who has got or had a bak-rak load carr/system? does the bak-rak works,  do i get one or not. lack of room in the car, just to put 2 tents on. thanks dave50

Dave we have just bought the Thule Easybase and box and they appear to be very well made.  Using to go to france in  several weeks' time so will report back but the base is very sturdy and fits on a towball and can have a multitude of uses.

Yes I think that may have been my thread.  If you Google the boxes you will get some companies come up, roofrackshop.co.uk etc etc.  Mine was £312 including a lock to lock the base to the tow hitch.  The box is massive, it will hold a lot of the bulky stuff without being weighty and it has saved us a lot of money rather than changing our car.

I say go for it, no wind resistance like a roof box and no speed restrictions like a trailer.
