I need to invest in a couple of comfortable, compact when packed up hopefully reasonably priced recliner chairs for our 3 week french trip later this year with the tent.

Anybody got any suggestions, recommendations, links etc.

Unfortunately budget is an issue ... so cheaper the better

I have seen the chairs that pack into a bag that have extensions for reclining. Too late to search now but I will try and post a link tomorrow.

We got two reclining chairs that fold into their own bag from ASDA, bit like a normal camping chair but are higher backed and of course turn into a cool reclining chair and best of all cost less then £13 each - come in balck and blue - at our Asda (Doncaster) the black ones are cheaper than the blue ones for some reason.  Why not take a look if you have one near you. 

they have them here but they are £21.99. I have seen them at a tent show for around £15.

But the chairs mentioned here aren't recliners?  RayE and I have been looking for ages for some chairs that were fairly portable (easy carried to and from camping - the car of course!) and which we could "lounge" around on but also use as a chair for eating off.

Well.......... we couldn't believe our luck when we went into a Woolworths in Hexham where we visiting at the time and they had just THE chair reduced to £12.50 each.  These chairs go into three position, have headrests, made of canvas and the tubing is the type that will last more than one season.  Some of the cheap "camping" types chairs are very poorly made and the support tubing is so thin that at some point it will buckle.

So.... have a look around - the right chairs are out there for you.  RayE and I are happy little bunnies now with our small table between use lounging with the homemade wine mmmmmmmmmmmm
