 In one of the Caravan magazines last month there were some windbreakers with steel/metal poles.  Unfortunately my other half threw the magazine out before I got the chance to buy one.  Did anyone else see them or know where I can get one.  I've trawelled the internet and cant find anything similar.

We have an Outwell windbreak which has metal shockcorded poles.  It also has a window feature that allows my wife to sit behind it and nosey at what is going on.

I believe Blue Diamond and Khyam also do the same style.

We were going to buy one of the Khyam ones but feedback on here wasn't good and we were advised to stick with the ol' traditional ones with wooden poles.

Anyone who has an Outwell or Khyam, would you please post on here and let us know how you get on with yours, since they are much less space-consuming, but are they any good?

We've just bought the Khyam one with the sun-canopy. Got it from Outdoormegastore who gave excellent service. Wish could say same of windbreak: found it difficult to put up and stay up - it just wouldn't. We've thrown it in the back of the car in disgust rather than spend an afternoon struggling with it. Will have another try this weekend.

Our other windbreak has wooden poles and an end that slots in the awning channel. Far better. From Towsure.

Liddenham,     With my Kyam if you fix guys both sides as you go it's quite easy, it is the one without a sun canopy. Insert pole into windbreak and guy, insert next pole then guy and so on. No hammering in of the poles even in hardish ground. Very small and compact for storage.   Also easier with 2 people but then so is everything!

We have an Outwell and it works great!... easy to put up and folds up small.

Diana20    As per my post above  With my Kyam if you fix guys both sides as you go it's quite easy,  Insert pole into windbreak and guy, insert next pole then guy and so on. End guys bring out about 120 degrees ie beyond the 1st pole. Try it this way, if it works for you you won't have wasted your money.

We have an outwell, it has a mind of its own some times gos up first try other times we fiddle for ages. Great when its up never moves.

we have 3 outwell ones and think they are very good.

we find them easy to use,and fold down into their own little bag with straps on making them much easier to transport,and the shoulder strap attached, much easier to carry.

we have three as two are for the tent, one for the beach

they are also a lot taller than most windbreaks, giving more shelter from the wind..... cant get used to calling them by their "proper" name though..... windscreen
