Hi

I was just wondering, I have a few of those Mosquito Tabs you put into them little heater things left over from a holiday in Spain, would they be useful against our Midgies or not. We wont be going to Spain or anywhere else abroad again as my wife is now disabled and cant cope with being on a plane, or long road trips.

I have ordered the 3 bottles of Avon stuff, but I didnt know about the discount code thing, so paid out £8-29 I think it was, (DAMN), I am sure things just happen to me, I blame my Mother-in-Law she has past away and she never did like me, think she is getting revenge from the other side ( Hopfully the side where its very hot hahaha ).

We've got a Green lamp (like the clear lite) that we use when camping. Has worked in this country and i am hoping it will be ok in France this summer. At home we use citronella tea lights and candles.

Hi Liddenham

You can readily use citronella oil, which we also supply, but make no mistake it is the little 'ClearOff' impregnated mats that really do the business of discouraging those pests!

If citronella is your thing and it works for you, make sure you stock up because the Government, in its wisdom through an EU directive, will soon be banning all citronella products that claim to affect flying insects. This is with effect throughout Europe from September 2006.

Are we talking about mosquitos or plain old midgies?

I used to get bitten to death by mosquitos until I started taking Vitamin B tablets for a couple of weeks before going away. It seems it changes your blood somehow to make you less appetising to them. I never got bitten once and I didn`t do anything else but take the tablets. I have been told that eating Marmite has the same effect. I will be taking my vitamin B all summer now and hope it works over here as well as it does abroad.
