Help please - I was going to ask youse the same question about electric lights in the tents.  Ive  been reading the messages and fancy the sunncamp light you have been mentioning but the link to the site isnt working - can somebody please repost?  ta.  Also is it safe just to use an "ordinary" desk lamp in the tent or does it have to be a camping one?

Also looking for advice please for portable bbq's - any body got any good ideas.  Ive seen a few on sites and they fold up like a briefcase - anybody seen any cheap ones?

Many thanks

Opps: I take 3 ltable lamps from the house, 2 bedside ones for besides the bed and one for the living area, I also have a strip light for the kitchen. I don't have the all on at the same time but i have never triped the elec with using them. Am i not meant to use these?

Just been in Asda today and saw this lamp & shade it was £2.50 including the low voltage light bulb.I have tried it out in our kitchen in the light/dark just to see how effective it is,it seems fine. Also it passed my drop it on the floor test so its quite sturd
